Equilibrium
Aroview: Modest, but intelligent sci-fi thriller, where a policeman misses his daily dose of emotion-lowering drug Prozium and realises the tyrannical nature of the regime he lives under.
With a great core idea, this manages to stage plenty of decent action, with a budget that lives within its means and a central cast who all remain pleasingly straight-faced. In its way, the equivalent of memorable 70s speculations like SOYLENT GREEN. Note: the working title of this film was 'Librium'.

4 stars (Very Good) A very enjoyable sci-fi actioner, with plenty of unique gun sequences and an interesting (although not particularly original) premise: extreme government control and regulation of citizens. If you enjoy the Matrix, check it out. ~Tom H
2 stars (Good Try) It is a very good action film - noisy with plenty of automatic weapons and a better than average body count. ~Tubbs
