Peter Pan
Aroview: Commendably conservative version of the now-classic J M Barrie play, in which Peter Pan persuades a family of children away to Never Never Land, and inadvertantly into the clutches of Captain Hook.
Capturing the Victorian spirit of the original, minus the spurious updating or over-cuteness of the other versions, this instead revels in a luxurious visualisation of an antique toyshop universe. By also acknowledging the psychological undercurrents of Barrie's original work, concerning children's growth into adolescence, this is somewhat darker, yet sufficiently imaginative to remain enchanting throughout.
