Aroview: A unique triptych, threaded loosely by its dystopian-future theme, that integrates three very different narratives and animation techniques into a satisfying (and memorable) whole. Something of a highwater mark of Japanese anime, and as good a place to start as any for the uninitiated.

'Magnetic Rose' - The crew of a spacecraft encounter the enigmatic wreck of a vast floating palace.

'Stink-Bomb' - A medical researcher manages to turn himself into a walking biological weapon.

'Cannon Fodder' - A day in the life of a city, specifically dedicated to bombarding an unseen enemy.
