A King in New York
Aroview: Mild satire, in which Chaplin plays the leader of 'Estrovia' whose visit to NYC is beset by witchhunts, noise, and 1950s conservatism.
Has often been seen as Chaplin's poison letter to America, made after his self-exile in the 1940s, and despite some fairly obvious humour has a few interesting touches, including an appearance by the dir.'s son.
