Bound for Glory
Aroview: Superbly made biopic of folksinger Woody Guthrie, set during the tail-end of the Great Depression as Guthrie makes his way across dustbowl America.
David Carradine is charismatic and perfectly understated in the lead, and the film is also particularly notable for its fine, Oscar-winning cinematography (by Haskell Wexler) and subtly interwoven soundtrack.

4 stars (Very Good) Slightly dated style but wonderfully done. Interesting story, never flags, of a USA that is unfamiliar today. Worth it just to see the many vintage vehicles of all kinds, though I don't recall that trousers were that tight in the 30s. Very informative. ~Anon
