Aroview: From prolific Hollywood pioneer Cecil B. De Mille, this was one of his many early works that brought famous plays and novels to the screen. Opera star Geraldine Farrar gave an influential performance as the tempestuous gypsy which was considered daringly erotic in its day.
The cinema's first 'Carmen' in a restored and tinted version plus a full orchestral score performed by the London Philharmonic.
