Fog of War, The
Aroview: A perfectly-formed, Oscar-winning documentary about the life and career of Robert S McNamara, who served as Secretary of Defense under Presidents Kennedy and Johnson, this is doco genius Errol Morris' most impressive and important work to date.
As relevant as ever in the foggy climate of America's "war on terror", this presents an extraordinary life and spellbinding account of the last half-century of American politics, with newly released archival footage, recorded White House conversations, and the profound wisdom of McNamara's 85-year-old hindsight.
Original score by Philip Glass.

4 stars (Very Good) Wisdom of hindsight, indeed! Overpaid & coddled US officials need to get a lot closer to 'ground zero' before playing 'God' in poor countries. McNamara has said a lot of sensible things since, but at the time he made cruel & evil decisions. ~Anon
