Onedin Line, The (TV Series)
Aroview: A sterling soap-opera of the 1970s, this immensely popular TV saga followed the empire-building and family fortunes of gruff 19th Century merchant mariner James Onedin, who emerged from poverty to pursue his vaulting ambition to own a fleet of sailing vessels.
The effective theme tune was Khachaturyan's "Spartacus".

4 stars (Very Good) I remember watching this as a teen, and always recall proud James Onedin, as he built up his shipping line, with his bumbling older brother, Robert. And sister Elizabeth, always added a bit of nostalgia! ~Anon
