Colour of War: The ANZACs

Australia / New Zealand 2004, 135 minutes
Dir. Paul Rudd, Ben Ulm
Rating: [M]
Genres: Documentary / War

Topics: Educational Resource.

Aroview: Russell Crowe hosts this documentary TV series about the Australian and New Zealand military experience from the 1930s to Vietnam, utilising colour film-footage culled from various archival sources.

Presented principally from the Australian perspective, this offers a moving, if sometimes overly broad portrait of our mutual involvement in various engagements. Fairly standard narration is complemented with voice-overs derived from actual letters, interviews and conversations of the era.
