Control Room
Aroview: An important documentary that tunes in to the other side of the Iraq War through the "Control Rooms" of both the leading Arab TV station, 'Al Jazeera' and the US military's media outpost known as 'Centcom'.
With propaganda acknowledged as a major weapon in the military arsenal, this looks at the question of the 'objectivity' of journalism, where it discovers two different sides of the truth. Not a hard-nosed doco, but instead even-handed and unsensational, this has the distinction among political docs to have most of its characters (from the media, military and from both sides of the conflict alike) presented as rational and sympathetic.
