Aroview: A baby-faced Bronson gives an exciting edge to this superior B-movie biopic, based around the criminal career of the Depression-era gangster.

Dir. Corman displays his customary flair with a limited budget, bringing off some good set-pieces and adding something of a Freudian subtext to the script, as Bronson is urged on by his domineering wife (Cabot).
