Thousand Months, A
Aroview: A rare international release from Morocco, this portrays languid months of existence for a boy who, following various family crises, moves with his mother to a village in the Atlas Mountains.
Having difficulty fitting in and preparing for his first fast of Ramadan, his main mission becomes to protect the chair of a teacher. However he spends much time observing the wry politics of the locals, a traditional society under the encroaching influence of modernity. Underneath this remains straightforward, colourful and humorous.
