Aroview: One of the more convincing attempts to adapt Ernest Hemingway for the screen, this follows the deathbed reverie of an American writer (Peck) from his tent in an African campsite.
Reflecting on his life and loves, Peck is fairly distant, but the cast are mostly very watchable, photography and score by Bernard Herrman also providing pleasures.

1 star (Turkey) Peck's character is dying which suits his acting style but its hard to determine how far rigor mortis has set in. The plot loses a star for its blood sport loving characters - Hayward has nothing to do so she says she will go out and shoot some wildlife. ~Tubbs
