Aroview: Beautifully animated and conceptually ambitious 'anime' TV series from the dir. of PERFECT BLUE, set in a present-day metropolis of social complexity and random events.

Each episode weaves in an expanding cast of characters, all dysfunctional in one curious way or another, and who all have an arresting encounter with a young boy wielding a golden baseball bat. Definitely in a darker, more disturbing key than, say HAIBANE RENMEI, this proffers a similarly exciting challenge for adventurous viewers.
