Aroview: Surprisingly well-realised drama, which sets a love-triangle (Lancaster, Curtis, Lollobrigida) in the world of European circus artistes.

Dir. Reed pays rewarding attention to the social details of the carnival mileu and captures the brilliant acrobatics with some impressive imagery. Apparently Lancaster performed most of his own stuntwork, as well as turning in a fine-tuned role.
