Die HardDie Hard (1988)Aro Favourite
4 stars (Very Good) pure excitement with great performances from Willis and Rickman
SanjuroSanjuro (1962)
5 stars (Exceptional) Even better than Yojimbo, the story is cleverer and the character of Sanjuro seems more developed.
Terminator, TheTerminator, The (1984)Aro Favourite
4 stars (Very Good) An immensely satisfying and enjoyable action–scifi film. The soundtrack is great.
Alien 3Alien 3 (1992)
4 stars (Very Good) Much better than Aliens, this has inventive camerawork and strong characters. It doesn't build suspense or have as well developed a story as the first, but it would have been an excellent final chapter for Ripley.
Mars Attacks!Mars Attacks! (1996)Aro Favourite
4 stars (Very Good) Very enjoyable, the cast is perfect in this goofy sci–fi parody/satire/homage. Similar to Gremlins and Young Frankenstein.
DVD $19.95 $14.95
Be Kind RewindBe Kind Rewind (2008)Aro Favourite
4 stars (Very Good) Kind of what would happen if someone placed the Barry character from High Fidelity in a video store. The swedes are easily the best part.
ClerksClerks (1993)Recommended
4 stars (Very Good) Well written dialogue and interesting characters.
Jay and Silent Bob Strike BackJay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001)
2 stars (Good Try) Very self–indulgent but enjoyable for the many cameos.
DVD $39.95
Chasing AmyChasing Amy (1997)Recommended
5 stars (Exceptional) Solidly acted and written.
DogmaDogma (1999)Recommended
4 stars (Very Good) Kevin Smith's best acted and best plotted movie, with the exception of Chasing Amy. Can be very funny but also very crude.
