Figure 8000
Aroview: Former glam rock front man of The Puffins, Lindon Puffin, takes to the road as an under-resourced solo act, touring with a single roadie in a beat-up motorhome across the width and breadth of New Zealand – video camera also in tow.
A wide-reaching survey of New Zealand’s diverse landscape and culture, this also makes for compelling viewing as a document of creative highs and lows, with Puffin’s miniscule tour budget and over-ambitious schedule the source of much strife and humour. The film’s title refers to Puffin’s 8000 km journey in the shape of a ‘figure 8’ up and down the country.
