“Something truly magnificent, the kind of visceral trash-arthouse experience that comes along very rarely.”~Jessica Kiang, The Playlist
Aroview: A polarising yet brilliant psychological horror bursting with allegorical detail, from visionary auteur/provocateur Darren Aronofsky.
A couple's peaceful existence in an remote country home is disrupted with the arrival of uninvited guests, a turn of events which slowly spirals into apocalyptic torment for Mother, the central character played with excruciating sensitivity by Jennifer Lawrence. Interpretations of the narrative range from biblical to environmental, and the fun is to figure it out for yourself.

3 stars (Good Enough) Someone's been watching too much Lars von Trier! Exhausting and risibly pretentious, with a crap ending, but so admirably wild (and uncommercial) it demands to be seen and debated. Pfeiffer takes the acting prize.~fairbrother
