4 stars (Very Good) Much more than just froth! Norma Carlisle (Elizabeth McGovern)-the "Chaperone"-is complex, subtle & unexpectedly convincing. Louise Brooks' character is interesting & progressive. An interesting film about women's lives-privileged, but unhappy.~Sandy
