Dinner Game, The
Aroview: Gourmet-grade French farce from the maestro of the genre - well-packaged, delivered without haste, indeed delicious, if a slightly smaller portion than you'd hoped. Riffing on favourite Gallic themes of snobbery and cruelty, affluent publisher Thierry Lhermitte competes with his elite friends to claim their invited dinner guest as the biggest 'idiot', but the tables turn as prize buffoon Jacques Villeret inadvertently sets off a chain of hilarious reversals and complications.

5 stars (Exceptional) Exceptionally funny movie that takes the mickey out of the middle class, especially those that look down on the humble. Shakespearean in the inevitability of it's comic structure it will surely leave your sides aching with laughter. A classic! ~Sandy
3 stars (Good Enough) It needs to tread a fine line and does so by achieving a balance in its satire without being offensive to any particular persuasion. Importantly it doesn't overstay its welcome. ~Tubbs
3 stars (Good Enough) Original Title: "Le dîner de cons" ~Anonz
