Wedding Date, The

Aroview: Lightweight romcom sees a successful single woman (Messing, from TV's "Will and Grace") travel to her sister's wedding in London with a paid male companion(Mulroney) in tow, who is meant to arouse jealousy in her ex-fiance.

When the boundary between 'acting' and 'reality' between the two begin to blur, an array of comical-sentimental complications ensues, buttressed with gags poking fun at the usual British foibles. Despite stretching dramatic credulity past breaking point, as glossy wish-fulfillment, this is as good an indulgence as any.
