Aroview: Slightly off-kilter romantic comedy, with the dir. of MRS DALLOWAY injecting a little originality into the normal recipe.

Stiles, projecting her usual intelligence and charm, plays a 'Southern gal' in Los Angeles who takes periodic advice from her eccentric bawdy grandmother (Maclaine) and is entangled between her job, prospective man-action and her gay, but besotted neighbour (Nivola). Less patronising than usual about the character steroetypes involved, this is definitely worth a quiet Sunday night detour.
