Raise the Titanic
Aroview: As ill-fated as the original vessel, this expensive adaptation of Clive Cussler's potboiler concerns the efforts of a salvage crew to refloat the old tub in order to retrieve a cargo of valuable minerals.
Despite a rousing finale, this sinks under heavy yards of risible dialogue and stupendous overplotting. After numerous budget blowouts, the producer later famously quipped that it would have "been cheaper to lower the Atlantic".
