Wicker Park

Aroview: A flashily-filmed, functional Hollywood remake of L'APPARTEMENT, with Hartnett playing a Chicago artist who falls for a beautiful dancer (Kruger), who then promptly disappears.

Years later, she seemingly reappears and thus begins a wildly convoluted mystery which resolves into eventually a complicated 'love quadrangle'. Miscasting aside, this certainly whips its plot into an exciting, if improbable finale, though it is still best not to have seen the original.
