Aroview: Iconic Japanese manga set in the yeat 2015 on an Earth devasted by wars, and suddenly invaded by nearly invincible extraterrestrial "angels".

An insecure teenager is thrust into a lead role in defending the planet at the throttle of an enormous and powerful robot 'Evangelion'. Complexly plotted, with numerous metaphysical and existential allusions, this is hugely ambitious and yet succeeds with its intelligent mixture of action, drama and spectacle. Note to the cautious: this is well worth venturing past the fairly cliched first episode.

5 stars (Exceptional) One of the truest explorations of unwanted responsibility and the effects of that on someone's mind, especially that of a child's. Exemplary visual direction and pacing. 2nd fav from this director. ~Anon
