Aroview: Worthy TV adaptation of the stageplay by David Storey (THIS SPORTING LIFE), set amid the twilight psychodramas of residents at an old peoples' rest home in rural England. Gielgud and Richardson play their respective roles with dignified wit, occasional senility and enjoyable irascibility. Overall, a tender and humourous portrayal of the vagaries of aging.
