Citizen King
Aroview: A tale told in compellingly objective style, this PBS documentary covers 5 years in the life of Martin Luther King from his iconic "I have a dream..." speech in 1963 through to his untimely assassination in 1968.
Drawing a range of interviewees, including both the expected family, friends and followers and also a few critical FBI men and 'Southerner'-types, dir. Bagwell and writer Noland Walker, organise their portrait with inexorable forward power. Certainly the definitive documentary thus far.
