Aroview: Fascinating and ambiguous documentary mini-series tracks in detail the trial of a North Carolina man accused of murdering his wife, who was found dead after apparently falling down a staircase.
With the accused gradually revealed to be a compelling mix of secrets and passions - Vietnam veteran, proud family man, patron of gay prostitutes, military fetishist - this mainly documents the intense efforts of the defence team to vindicate their client. With bizarre moments and revelations aplenty, its a must for fans of gripping courtroom drama. 8 episodes over 3 discs.

2 stars (Good Try) Have to admire the tenacity of director and the editor who cut it down from a million minutes.A marathon watch but at the end I didn't really care whether he was guilty or not.Bonus documentary "Death on the Staircase" sums it up very well in 40 mins. ~Tubbs
Extras include Aftermath documentary, Defence team meetings, and "Rankin on the Staircase" documentary comparing the series to crime fiction.
