Twitch of the Death Nerve
Aroview: Highly influential proto-slasher film from the Italian horror maestro Mario Bava, laying the way for such nightmares of remorseless mass-killing as FRIDAY THE 13TH and HALLOWEEN. Here, the youthful inhabitants of an isolated seaside estate, are led one by one to gorily imaginative fates in a struggle for some valuable real estate. This even improves on multiple viewing.

4 stars (Very Good) aka "Blood Bath", "Carnage". Classy horror - it is also suspenseful which is something most horror directors find difficult to achieve. Some of the killings have a touch of the absurd and none are boring. ~Tubbs

4 stars (Very Good) Several of the deaths in this were ripped off directly by the first two F13 movies, though the filmmakers claimed not to have seen it. The connection is that the US distributor of this, Phil Scuden, produced those movies. ~Pearce
