Autumn Spring
Aroview: Spry Czech comedy of elderly bad manners, concerns an aging prankster (Brodsky) who spends his retirement impersonating people in league with a fellow trickster, much to chagrin and dismay of his family.
Eventually he oversteps the mark and fakes his own death, leading to his wife filing for divorce and a initiating a difficult road back to reconciliation. Scripted with a sophisticated, bittersweet humour that investigates the spaces between responsibility and the 'ticking clock' of life running out. Brodsky is the perfect rapscalion in the lead, while the subtly distinct Czech sense of comic irony shines through.
