Aroview: Experimental collaboration between Sonic Youth guitarist Lee Ranaldo and filmmaker Leah Singer, in which urban and nature imagery runs on two projectors while Renaldo adds responsive sounds and musical elements. The projectors are then similarly 'played' to create an fully interractive artwork.
Although influenced by the likes of Stan Brakhage, the improvisational 'live' element gives this a contemporary twist, which the filmmakers compare to DJ-ing. The DVD also comes with a 112-page book of photographs and poetry.
