4400, The (TV Series)

Aroview: An effectively puzzling sci-fi TV series which begins on a day when 4400 missing persons suddenly reappear on Earth, not a day older than when they disappeared, confounding governments everywhere and the FBI agents assigned to the case.

It also seems that some have developed mysterious powers inciting waves of interest and resentment among the population. With some complicated central characters and subdued use of special f/x this is watchable first cousin to THE X-FILES.
