Aeon Flux
Aroview: Sci-fi action fantasy based on the mid-1990s animation by Peter Chung, in which a spandex-clad superheroine (Theron) flits around futuristic urban architecture on special missions to investigate the sinister utopia of a world government in the 25th century AD.
Avoiding the attentions of government forces, directed by Csokas and Miller, she discovers a welter of secrets, some connected to her own murky past and others related to MATRIX-like webs of deception in the fabric of reality. Although some snazzy design and freshly-unironic twists provide some interest, this signally fails to capture the dry wit and dreamlike tone of the original; even so, for vid-game fans this provides plenty of eye candy.

3 stars (Good Enough) An okay post-matrix era sci-fi film, with Theron in spandex, a big brother government gone too far, and some interesting visuals that always feel a little too plastic and surreal to be believable. ~Tom H
2 stars (Good Try) There are some passable futuristic elements scattered among the machine gun fire. ~Tubbs
