Party of Five (TV Series)

Aroview: Accessible youth drama about a family of five orphaned siblings who, after their parents are killed in a car accident, are left to fend for themselves in suburban middle-America under the helm of the oldest brother (Fox).

Although following the format of dishing out life lessons with each episode, this had an unmistakably realistic texture and trajectory: interesting issues were usually resolved without the usual soap opera melodramatics or grand 'happy ending'. Also notable for launching the careers of several young actors, in particular Campbell and Fox.
