Eight Below

Aroview: Rousing Antarctic adventure, loosely based on the true story of a 1950s research team who were forced by weather and circumstances to abandon their beloved team of husky dogs to fend for themselves over the long winter months on the ice.

Paul Walker (FAST AND THE FURIOUS) stars as the dog-sledder who vows to raise the money for a return expedition to see if the dogs have survived, but finds many obstacles to his mission. Although patchily-scripted, this abounds in atmosphere and the canine stars manage to humourously steal the movie from their human handlers.
