Genres: Comedy / Black Comedy
Aroview: In the best English tradition of addled and yet deadly black comedy, this unravels the goings-on in a cute village, where the vicar (Atkinson) is oblivious to his wife's (Scott Thomas) sexual boredom and other family problems; enter a twinkly-eyed housekeeper (Smith) who decides to 'help out' a bit.
Turns out the housekeeper has some rather dodgy proclivities and soon a trail of dead bodies materialises among the puzzled residents. With all the cast in top form (including Patrick Swayze as a sleazy American golf pro), this manages to fulfil the promise of the material right up to its curiously heartwarming conclusion.
