Maddigan's Quest (TV Series)

Aroview: Nicely-produced local series for children - adapted from Margaret Mahy's bestseller - set in a post-technological future following the "Great Chaos" and following a convoy of circus caravans who set out on their annual tour, this time also seeking a lost solar converter for the city of Solis.

Crossing a depopulated and partly-unmapped countryside they come across various tribes, gangs and agents from the future - some hostile, others friendly. Even if the special f/x verge on the cheesy, the visual design and intelligent scripting make for some high quality kids fantasy.
