Aroview: Compelling 'reality TV' show follows a class of aspiring actors in their first year at Toi Whakaari - New Zealand Drama School in Wellington, learning the craft of various disciplines and facing their own ambitions and limitations.

Opening with the entrance auditions and concluding with a first public performance, the students undergo intensive training in movement, acting, voice and singing - a process documented with necessary candour and sympathy. Perhaps most impressively, this depicts the acting process as an intense journey where personal identity must be discovered and used as a tool.
