Notte, La
Aroview: A compelling bout of urban alienation, with Marcello Mastroianni and Jeanne Moreau as a despairing married couple coming slowly apart at the seams. Monica Vitti plays the desirable wedge between the two.
The middle film in a trilogy comprised of L'AVVENTURA and L'ECLISSE, this represents the peak of Italian master Antonioni's heightened visual language and thematic fascination with human disconnection and malaise.

3 stars (Good Enough) The empty characters become tiresome after a while but the outdoor locations are wonderfully shot - everything from traffic jams to derelict sections and buildings. ~Tubbs
