Crank
Aroview: Shamelessly adrenalized actioner posits that a professional assassin (Statham) trying to go straight is poisoned by his spiteful employers and will die if his heart rate drops to a murmur: his cue to exact bloody revenge as quickly and as vigorously as possible.
Truly absurd premise is a thinly veiled excuse by the directors to splash out on as much violent gunplay, chase sequences and martial artistry as possible, achieved with mostly winning, if exhausting results. Suspension of belief is a prerequisite in this instance.

4 stars (Very Good) A frenetic rush of a film based on the premise of adrenaline (Statham needs to keep moving, and fast, or he'll die), Crank has a unique feel to it and shows off some original action sequences at break-neck pace. You won't be bored watching. ~Tom H
2 stars (Good Try) Reminded me of "Run, Lola, Run" (1998) for a few frames but then the flashy camera and editing plus the whooshing sound effects drags things back to the ordinary and get tiresome. ~Tubbs
4 stars (Very Good) great movie ~Wyatt Earp
