Aroview: Dir. Shimizu revisits his effective J-Horror franchise and re-adapts a sequel for Hollywood. While fans of the original JU-ON (and ensuing sequel) won’t find much different, it does make an interesting companion piece.

Sarah Michelle Gellar returns as a supernatural curse is unleashed on a seemingly unrelated group of people. It’s more of the same subtle horror - haunted house hijinks and spooky long-haired women, but is told with a much wider scope to the successful original versions of the film.
