Aroview: Bottom-of-the-barrel vehicle for the once-funny Eddie Murphy sees the actor scrape out the remains of a thousand disposed comedies: he plays both the eponymous dorky lead, and the obnoxiously obese woman his character has the displeasure of being engaged to.

Embarrassing, puerile, and full of obscene racial stereotypes, this momentarily turns a corner as a tolerable romantic comedy (Thandie Newton somehow graces the film as the apple of Norbit's eye), if only to revert back to the height of bad taste.
