Human Trafficking
Aroview: Tough, at times miserly two-part telemovie detailing the efforts of an Immigration Enforcement agency fighting to curb the Eastern European trade in trafficking of women and children for sex and slavery.
Characterised by a forceful, over-earnest moral message, this appropriately never skimps on the harsh reality of its subject matter, painting a bleak and troubling picture of the exploitation of human beings. Robert Carlyle is particularly vile as a crime lord at the head of a trafficking ring.
