5 stars (Exceptional) Written by James Goldman, playwright of "The Lion in Winter", and older brother to William Goldman (The Princess Bride), this witty and wistful movie grounds a quixotic visionary and restores dignity and depth to a relationship degraded in folk telling. ~Grant F
