Aroview: Boasting one of the hottest music scenes in recent years, Montreal takes centre stage in this character-driven piece involving a girl torn between her party girl ways, and the burden of her college degree.

Laura Jordon, as the film’s protagonist at a crossroads, is compelling, if too vacuous in her uncertainly to fully demand our attention, though dir. MacKinnon’s visual intentions are at least admirable in the glassy, contemporized setting. Elsewhere, the film boasts a pounding soundtrack of some of the Montreal’s best electronic music and a lively visual style that revels in the city’s party atmosphere.
