Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End
Aroview: Blockbuster third installment in the ever-popular swashbuckling franchise finds Johnny Depp and crew having to sail off the edge of the map and manoeuvre towards an epic final battle.
Like other third films in popular trilogies, the battles are bigger, the characters zanier, and the special effects even better, culminating in a fittingly colossal finale. An extreme running length contributes to a densely plotted, if rather confusing storyline, though the mindless, enjoyable value of the first two films remains largely a success, suggesting a fourth movie in the series may be about to sail.

2 stars (Good Try) The plot is just stupid, and Will and Elisabeth take over the movie. They are boring. ~dr.strangelove
2 stars (Good Try) The entertainment and charm that was found in the first film is almost completely lost here in a needlessly over-complicated and ultimately stupid plot. ~Wizzums
