Aroview: Genteel yet immensely likeable two-hander based on Bernard Slade's Broadway play with Alda and Burstyn as an adulterous couple who share one weekend a year for 26 years.
As the couple grow and change over the years, they reflect the social changes in American life and attitudes through the '50s, '60s and '70s. A nice conceit with a large budget for wardrobe, if ultimately something of an anodyne fantasy.
