Stardust
Aroview: An elaborate and wildly entertaining fairytale adventure from the imagination of British fantasy maestro, Neil Gaiman (MIRROR MASK), this tones down the darker elements of his graphic novel to be reborn as a film for all ages in the best sense.
The narrative leaps from romantic to suspenseful to exhilirating with a deft balance of old-fashioned enchantment and contemporary wit, and the cast are a blast - especially the wonderfully witchy Michelle Pfeiffer, fruity pirate Robert De Niro, and even dashing newcomer, Charlie Cox. Though it plays like THE PRINCESS BRIDE with a sprinkle of Terry Gilliam and Tim Burton, this comes coated in a fairy dust all of its own.
