Aroview: Superbly crafted documentary that charts an astounding human story that took place within the world's first solo, non-stop around-the-world boat race in 1968.

Way out of his depth from the outset, British amateur yachtie Donald Crowhurst entered the race prepared with little more than naive determination and the heart of a nation behind him, and so its not long before he finds himself literally and figuratively in "deep water". Plotting much of the story from Crowhurst's own log book (and actual self-filmed footage), the producers of TOUCHING THE VOID meticulously re-create a vivid, intensely dramatic and deeply moving experience, such that one can almost taste the salty water.
