Berlin Alexanderplatz (TV Series)
Aroview: This monolithic tome set in Weimar-era Germany represented the peak of dir. Fassbinder's filmmaking career. Across 15 hours, it details the struggle of an ex-convict attempting to return to normal life in the corruptive environs of pre-Third Reich rule. A magnum opus in every sense of the word.
Parts 1-13 across five discs; epilogue + extra features discs six and seven.

5 stars (Exceptional) an experience. ~Tubbs
5 stars (Exceptional) You need to invest time and energy in this, but the reward is 15 hours of Fassbinder at his greatest, peerless performances by Lamprecht and Gottfried John, culminating in the stunning 2 hour Epilogue fantasia. Brilliant. ~FraserP
